[sometime post-kyr, there were promises made to watch this Featherman thing. So, Naoto's place, in Inaba, watching shitty toku. But of course, rather than sitting to watch like a normal person, Aria's going to be flopped over to lay across Lapis' lap as they watch.]

... Magic bird armor?

[Somewhat without thinking, Naoto's already petting Aria's ears while she's flopped in her lap, pausing every so often to explain one thing or another.]

Well, that particular character is the strategist, so they have to have the ability to fly above the group and see what's going on... but, really it's no worse than some others.

There was a version with bears.

[her ears twitch a bit, and she leans her head into the petting.]

I think the most amazing magic is the flexibility of the armor, and how they can put it on so quickly, but... It seems foolish to run to the battlefield before putting on your armor.

[but you have to have dramatic henshin sequences i guess.]

... Was there ever a version with foxes?

[More petting, and a very comfortable smile.]

We do have quite flexible armor in the real world, but I think this is mostly made with fabrics for television. It would not be very helpful in a real battle.

[Although, some of the crap she wore in the TV world was a bit dubious, Thanks Soujibama.]

Most of this was theatrics.

[A pause for thought.]

I don't believe so. Foxes are mostly... trickster spirits here in Japan. If anything, there might have been a fox as an antagonist one season.

... I see.

[look at those ears droop at that. :( but no, focusing on the show! let's not think about trickster foxes.]

I like the green one, though.

[More ear scritching.]

There's one who's extremely loyal to the shrine in town. Everyone loves her.

[A pause, and a smile.]

Yes, that one is a good one. My favorite is the blue one.

[Of course it is, Naoto, it flies.]

[Well, if nothing else, ear scritches do make her tail thump the couch a couple times.]

I can see that... The blue one resembles you.

[smol and smart.]

Well, somewhat.

[She turns a bit pink in the cheeks.]

I know that pink one, actually. We've met a couple times.

You do? She's very pretty...

She is. She has the same power I do, actually. Different abilities, hers are wind magic and healing, but she can summon a Persona as well.

... Is that a common power? Why don't the 'Featherman' group do that?

It's fairly rare, as far as I know, and most people don't know it exists, unfortunately. It might be dangerous to those of us who wield it for everyone to know. People would misuse it, as my friends and I found last year.

I see...

[But she just flashes a big smile.]

But even if that happened, that's why police and detectives exist, right?

That is true. We are quite good at what we do.

[Oh, look. More ear scritches.]

[well, she was going to be more embarrassingly dere, but then earscritches started back up.

so now she's just leaning into that, tilting her head down to press the base of her ears against Lapis' fingers.]

You are as skilled with your fingers as Ochre...

[it's more a reference to ochre's knitting than any other activities they've done together, but she is not thinking about how it sounds.]

[She laughs a bit, shaking her head.]

I hardly use my fingers as much as he does, but thank you.

[Leaning over, she kisses the top of her head, right between her ears. Sometimes Naoto can be The Most Oblivious. The scritches keep up, however.]

[She's basically going totally limp, no longer focusing on the TV at all, instead with an expression of total bliss as she lays in Lapis' lap.

She is, at least, going to lift up her tail to wrap it around Lapis' shoulders in a weird tail hug though.]

That is a pity, and I would like it if that were remedied.

[SCRITCHES ALL THE TIME FOREVER.]

[She'd never really admit to it, but she loves the tail hugs.

Her hand is still gently scritching behind her ears, amused that she's in control for once.]

Would you, now? Hm. Is there something you would like my fingers to be doing?

[Oh. Now she's a bit less oblivious.]

[It... It takes her a minute to catch on. Foxes are dumb, and most of her brain is currently being taken up by scritches feel really nice.

but then you can tell when she catches on because she suddenly tenses up again, and turns rather pink.]

I... I was not thinking that, but- But if you would like to, then...

Shhhh. Don't worry about it, Aria.

[The scritches continue, in just the places that she knows calm her down.]

I think my mind was running away with me.

[... okay, but.

what if instead, she pulls lapis closer with her tail, while twisting to lean up and grab her face, pulling her down into a kiss.]

[She squeaks, returning this kiss enthusiastically, almost falling on top of her in her own surprise. Whoops.]

[There's no 'almost', as she's pulling Lapis down on top of her, kissing her, then breaking off to grab the hand that had been scratching her ears, and kissing those fingers.]

... Please?

[Well, with that kind of invitation, how can she say no? Naoto whimpers a bit as Aria kisses her fingers, taking a breath, and looking down at her girlfriend.]

I'm certainly not going to say no to that.

[Her other hand goes back up to her ears, softly scritching again.]

[Look, her mother and sister are both catpeople, it's a wonder she doesn't start purring at the ear scritches. instead she's just starting to go limp again.]

I love you, Lapis.

[Something about that just makes her melt, and she leans down and kisses her again.]

I love you too, Aria. You are so beautiful to me.

[... you did it, you nerd. you actually made her go speechless, just turning red but with a wide grin. she's officially too full of feelings to talk right.

instead she's just putting her arms around lapis' shoulders and leaning in to kiss her again. it's like stalling to give her more time to figure out what to say.]

[She doesn't mind, she just kisses back enthusiastically, holding her as close as she can. She might be reserved many times, but she's certainly not at this particular moment.]

[She is too full of love and dere to even deal with you. how is she supposed to manage, god.

In lieu of words, she pulls herself up (or maybe Lapis down) flush against her, and begins to slide a hand up the back of Lapis' shirt. If Lapis isn't careful, Aria's going to steal the initiative here.]

[comes in amnesiac and world-hopping varieties.]
