[Once everything has been done, all the evils defeated, and everyone parted, there is a town. A small town in the middle of nowhere, but the town itself doesn't really seem to matter anymore. There are evils in the world, Shadows that need to be defeated.

And Lapis... no, Naoto Shirogane, rogue Shadow investigator, is going to be the one to defeat them. However, she always has some time for any friends who might show up.]

[Aria was trying to lay low and not cause trouble in Inaba, she really was. But, well, she keeps getting comments and stares and people asking about her cosplay, and she has no idea what they're talking about. And then add on that she's an obvious foreigner, and people try to push her at Inaba's special sights.

What I'm getting at here is she was really trying to not make a scene, except then someone introduced the concept of a 'beef bowl' to her, and now she's well-fed but trying to pay with what appears to be an actual gold coin. There's probably enough commotion to attract a certain detective's attention, though.]

[It's certainly enough to get the housewife network going. Naoto happened to be in town to pick up a liquor order for her grandfather, and the rumor of a fox cosplayer sent her running to Aiya.

A huge grin crosses her face when she sees what's going on. It's an expression that hasn't really seen the light of day in a while.]

Aria!

La- Naoto!

[She remembers her name from her memories, after all, and she doesn't want to cause trouble for Lapis by having her have to explain that name.

She does, however, leave the coin and her entire coin purse on the counter to run over and hug Lapis, picking her up off the ground with ease.]

Have you been well? I meant to come earlier, but my- my home has been rather complicated of late.

[she almost said her world. trying not to cause problems is hard.]

[She actually squeaks, dignity forgotten, as she hugs Aria back, tiny feet kicking as she gets pulled off the ground. It's what Ochre used to do, and there's the tiniest hint of... nostalgia in her expression.]

I have been certainly keeping busy.

[Once she's on her feet again, she pulls some yen out of her wallet and puts it on the counter.]

Why don't we go for a walk? We can talk about how things are at home for you, and things here as well.

Ah, certainly... I believe we have much to catch up on.

[look, lapis, it's another fox that's taking all your yen, though this one is by accident.]
