Late September 2014 - First Date

It has been a few weeks since they all decided they wanted to be together, and the boys have already moved in to Naoto's apartment. There was some luck, and a cheerful subletter involved, but they were with her, and Naoto couldn't ask for anything better.

One afternoon, on a day that she didn't have class, but the others did, when they got home, they would find her flopped on the couch with some homework. Sleeping.

Yu grabs a blanket from the back of the couch and spreads it over Naoto. If that wakes her up, she's awake, and if it doesn't, they can go entertain themselves elsewhere. He's as quiet as possible when he does this.

Just the blanket is enough to wake Naoto up a bit. Stretching, she sits up. "Oh, hello, both of you. Did you have a good day?"

She's a bit sheepish, trying to regain a bit of dignity from being found asleep.

"Aw, sorry for waking you up!" Yosuke says, feeling bad about it. "Yeah, we had a pretty good day. Too much homework assigned, though."

Yu sits next to Naoto on the couch and grabs Yosuke's sleeve, tugging a little to try to get him to sit as well. "A good day," he agrees. "But how was yours?"

"It's not a problem. I should have been doing homework, not sleeping." She leans against Yu a bit. "I had a good day. Turned down someone who thought I would find if their wife was cheating on them or not." She rolls her eyes.

"Otherwise, I did not get enough homework done, but I can finish it later."

Yosuke sits down with them as urged, right at the other side of Naoto. "You need to take more breaks," he says, though he knows the statement'll fall on deaf ears.

Will it fall on deaf ears if Yu agrees?

"We could all take a break together," he suggests.

Naoto runs a hand through her hair, then picks up her hat from where it fell on the floor.

"Did either of you have something in mind? I could possibly be convinced to take a break." She smiles thoughtfully, looking from one of them to the other.

Yosuke puts on his thinky face, and then grins when the perfect thing occurs to him.

"We should go on our first date, the three of us."

"That is a great idea."

To be honest, Yu is a bit surprised it took them this long.

Naoto leans over with a grin and kisses Yosuke.

"That is an excellent idea. Where should we go, however? And if we are to go somewhere, I should likely change into some other clothes."

She looks down where she is wearing one of Yosuke's band t-shirts, and a pair of boxers.

"I don't think you need to change unless we go somewhere super nice. Just throw some pants on."

Yosuke really likes it when she steals his shirts.

"We could go on a picnic," Yu suggests. "Though we would have to stop somewhere to get some fitting food."

"We could do that. I heard about a town a short train ride out of the city that has an absolutely lovely overlook. Perhaps we could stop at a store and grab some food, and then catch the train."

She stands up. "You two discuss that while I find some pants?"

"Cool," Yosuke says and opens his backpack to bring out his notebook to write in, so they can write up a shopping list. "What do we want to get...?"

Yu lists off some traditional picnic food for him, helping build the list while they wait for Naoto to come back.

Naoto returns, still in Yosuke's t-shirt, but having added a pair of pants and a vest over the shirt, creating an almost-rakish look with her hat.

"Alright, boys. Are you ready?"

Yosuke tears out the shopping list from his notebook and grins up at her. "Completely," he says. "Wow, you look cute."

"I agree," Yu says, and gets up so that he can press a kiss to Naoto's cheek.

She blushes at them, kissing Yu's cheek as well.

"You two spoil me. Shall we go? One of these days, we should get a picnic basket, now that I think about it. We can deal with bags for now, yes?"

"Easy peasy," Yosuke agrees. "Though we might see a basket at the store anyway."

Depends on what store they go to, really.

Yu goes to grab his wallet and keys from the table he left them on. "Ready," he says.

She smiles at them both, and cheerfully leaves the apartment. A short while later, they are getting off of a train, and walking a short way to a park, picnic basket in hand.

Naoto is smiling, looking around a bit wide-eyed. "It really is quite beautiful here."

"It is," Yosuke agrees, though he's looking at the two of them rather than the surroundings. He's not really about scenery, but he's glad to be with them.

"I wish I'd brought a camera," Yu says. He's a little cross with himself for not thinking of it, but they'd been so busy preparing picnic food.

"My phone has a decent camera, if you want some photos. I can send them to you."

She pulls her phone out of her pocket and holds it out. "I am terrible with photographs, to be honest."

[magiciansluck]

"I can take them, if you want," Yosuke says cheerfully. "I've got a talent."

A hidden one he doesn't talk about! It's just never came up, honest.

"One you've been keeping all to yourself?"

Yu supposes he has a few of those personally, too.

"Only one talent, Yosuke? That's a shame." She smirks at him, leaning up and kissing him on the cheek. "We will have to work on that."

[magiciansluck]

"Heeey, I have other talents," Yosuke protests, but kisses her on the cheek in return. "Lots of them."

"We know," Yu says, reaching over to tossle Yosuke's hair. "She's just teasing."

"I know, Yosuke." Naoto reaches over and takes his hand. "Let's find a spot for the picnic."

She leads them both to the park, finding a spot right by the overlook. "This looks about perfect, I think."

"It does!" Yosuke says, and makes sure the area is clean of any trash. He takes the basket from Naoto and sets it down, taking the picnic blanket out from it and spreading it out.

Yu settles to sit on the blanket, slowly and carefully setting out the food. Once he is done, he offers the other two a smile. "There we are."

She smiles at both of them, then settles on the blanket, legs curled underneath her. "This looks excellent."

Lunch passes cheerfully, and Naoto eventually lies down on her back, looking up at the sky. "This is wonderful. I do not think I have been this relaxed in quite a while. I am usually worried about something or another."

Yosuke pats her hair, looking down at her face with a smile. "I'm glad to see you happy," he says sincerely. "You deserve it."

He looks up at Yu then. "Are you happy too?"

"Completely," Yu says, returning smile for smile. He leans on Yosuke and takes both his and Naoto's hands to hold.

Naoto reaches over and takes Yosuke's hand as well, closing her eyes with a peaceful smile.

"So, what now? Is there something else we wished to do?"

"I like this," Yosuke says. "It's peaceful and nice. Can we wait a bit before doing something else?"

"I'm okay with whatever," Yu says, because he is also perfectly happy with this.

"Alright." Naoto smiles at them, closing her eyes a bit.

"Sometimes, I try to do too much and forget just to relax."

Without really thinking about it, she snuggles up by Yosuke.

Yosuke moves to lay with her, putting an arm around her. "Well, now is the perfect time."

Yu smiles to himself over them and takes out his phone, taking a picture of them relaxing together.

She looks up and shakes her head at him, but closes her eyes and just snuggles Yosuke happily.

"Less pictures, more joining the cuddles," Yosuke says, pulling on Yu's hand. "Lay down with us, partner."

"Mm, okay," Yu says, because of course he's not going to object to a cuddle pile. He puts his phone away and settles into a laying position next to them.

Naoto smiles happily, reaching over and pulling Yu closer to her.

She doesn't really have much to say, just smiles that her boys are with her right now.
