Hey, you're not. You're a member of our family and you've done a lot to help us. The first day we rescued you, you disabled the ships tracking us and it helped our escape.
[He kisses Matt's cheek]
Want me to call Mom to bring you something to eat or drink?
I just didn't want to be stuck away somewhere that I couldn't do anything to help. I'd already been stuck in a camp and couldn't really do much, and then when I overhead that they were going to take all of us to some... wherever it was, it was too much. I wanted to do something. Probably selfish of me, but still.
[He sighs, nodding a bit.]
Yeah. I could use some water, to be honest. I don't want to get too dehydrated. Stupid human physiology.
[Keith shifts slightly to grab his communicator, messaging his mother to bring some water and soup for Matt. He helps him sit up a little, supporting him.]
Well, we're glad you're here. You've been a big help to us.
I know, but you're gonna be fine. The medicine will do the trick.
[Krolia arrives in moments with water, a bowl of soup, and some herbs. They're a supplement to the medicine, not as potent but they should help with your cough and any aches and pains. She sets the tray down, and Keith lifts the cup of water to help Matt drink.]
[Matt takes the water and herbs making a face. It's probably not terrible tasting to a Galra, but Matt's taste buds don't like it. He downs it all, however, and manages a small smile.]
Thanks, Krolia. Tell Kolivan I owe him for letting both of you help me.
[You owe us nothing, you've been a great help for us since you've joined. And Kolivan...he's not in any position to complain right now. Keith raises an eyebrow as he gives Matt some more water, then lifts a spoonful of soup to feed him.]
He's sick, too? I've never known Kolivan to get sick, ever.
[It has to cycle its way through the base, it seems. But no one's at risk of catching it all over again, at least, Krolia says. Keith feeds Matt another spoonful of broth.]
It has a Galra name that I don't remember...Divix or something?
I think Ulaz, Ruzena, and Mom are the only ones he'll allow in right now. Mom because they're best friends and the other two because they're the doctors and Kolivan's stubborn, but he's not stupid.
A few of them think he's got it bad for her because they get along so well, and he lets her get away with more than most. But her heart still belongs to Dad, and Kolivan...
[From what he knows, if your soul mate dies the chances of loving again are slim to none.]
I think she sees him as more of a father or brother figure.
I think he lets her get away with things because he likes her, and she's damn good at what she does.
He had a soulmate once, didn't he? I know that's an absolute wrench when someone dies. I can't see him just... moving on like that. It's not who he is.
A long time ago. They were the only survivors of the empire, and they joined the Blade together. Not long after Kolivan became the leader, his soul mate was killed during a mission.
[He closes his eyes, holding Matt more tightly on instinct.]

[He coughs again, shivering in Keith's arms.]
And now I'm sick. Doesn't really help.

ugh. I really hate being sick.

[Matt would usually grumble about being fed, but at the moment, he's not really in a place to.]
I guess everyone's catching purple flu or whatever this is called.
[It sounds better than Galra pox.]

[He eats the broth quietly for a moment, then giggles.]
That sounds like a math something or other.
no subject
That makes it sound a little less threatening, probably. [offers another spoonful, while Krolia looks on and smiles.
Are you two okay for me to leave?]
no subject
[Matt looks a bit sheepish, glancing down at the blankets for a moment. He's suddenly very aware that he basically had an emotional breakdown.]
no subject
Don't apologize. You just call me if you need anything else. She leaves them alone, and Keith sets the tray aside for a moment to hold Matt close.]
no subject
[Matt curls up with Keith, sighing deeply, and trying not to shake a bit. Stupid sick.]
Sorry, Keith. Just... feeling weak again.
no subject
Be as weak as you need to right now, I'm here. It's just us.
no subject
[He curls up even more shivering.]
Ugh. I'm an awful patient. But... [He manages a tiny smirk.] I bet Kolivan's worse.

[He bundles them up in the blankets again, kissing Matt's sweaty hair.]

[Matt manages a bit of a giggle, which turns into a cough.]
He'd just intimidate everyone else into going away.

[Matt does eat the soup, quietly.]
I heard a couple of the younger blades say they think they'd be a good couple. I just laughed. A lot.
[Anyone who actually knows Krolia knows how devoted she still is to Heath, back on Earth.]

I'm a stubborn little thing, you know. There's a lot that should have killed me but hasn't. You're stuck with me for a long time.
[Let's ignore the fact that Galra lifespans are longer than humans. He doesn't want to think about that right now.]
Love you. So much.
